jeanniejeanniejeannie.co.uk BLOG Tuesday 12th January 2021

I know this is a site where you come to cheer yourself up, but today I just have to give over a little time to pay tribute to the tragic year of 2020 and those who gave their lives in that year.

I am still reeling from the fact that my brother-in-law, John Hodgkinson was snatched from under our noses and my nephew in law, Richard Woolley, disappeared off the face of the earth. I still cannot accept it! And yet realistically I know I have to mourn them.

But so many people died in 2020. It is projected that 60 million people will have died worldwide, that’s probably a 3 million increase on 2019.

That means many more people died who I have respect for, but affect me completely differently to John and Richard.

All the people below died in 2020 and I have respect for them because of what they have created and the legacy they have left behind.

“The day I stop giving is the day I stop receiving. The day I stop learning is the day I stop growing. You miss 100% of the shots you don’t take.”

— Wayne Gretzky

Happiness is…having a legacy to leave.

“So Batman came up to me & he hit me over the head with a vase & he went ‘T’PAU!’ I said ‘Don’t you mean KAPOW??’ He said ‘No, I’ve got china in my hand.’”

Love is…listening to music whilst hot tubbing.

A time to appreciate a person whilst alive…A time to pay respects to someone.
