Sally Anne Lambert is a tremendous artist. I first discovered her as I bought one of her Moongazer Cards at a beautiful shop, Mrs Noah’s in Fowey, Cornwall. Her cards are wonderful with small relevant verses on the reverse by Maureen Lambert.

Sally has illustrated many children’s books too, which help bring the words alive.

Using tombstones for tables and headstones for seating,

The neighbourhood cats called a mice-catching meeting.

What are the churchyard cats to do? There are mice running all over the place and they need to be stopped! But mouse catching is not as easy as you’d think, and the cats soon find that no matter how many times they try, they always end up with empty paws . . .
