On Saturday we met up with all of our four grandchildren in one of their gardens. All four have been away together this last week in Trevone, Nr Padstow, Cornwall. We were scheduled to go with them but decided not to when Boris and Professor Chris Whitty toughened lockdown easing and put the wind up us.

The rest of the family had a great time in Cornwall with great weather. Just a slight hiccough with traffic on the way home, but that was all.  They did discover the house we’ve stayed in for the last four years was up for sale. The end of an era. But it will forever hold amazing childhood Summer Holiday memories for all our grandchildren.

“Do you remember when we all used to go away to Cornwall and stay together with Mamma and Grandad at Trevone near Padstow and the sun would shine and we’d go to the beach every day. We’d surf, paddle in the sea and go rock pooling catching crabs. Glory days.

We have at least created great childhood memories!

It was so good to see the grandchildren again, we have so missed them.
