Musicians livestream concerts

With many concerts being cancelled or postponed in the wake of the novel coronavirus, artists such as Chris Martin of Coldplay (pictured), John Legend, Keith Urban, Bono and more are hosting virtual concerts from their homes to help people deal with isolation and anxiety.

In Our Self-Isolation

It’s Easter Monday of course. The weather changed to typical Easter Monday, dull freezing weather

Whilst everyone talks of going into Week 4 of lockdown, we of course are going into Week 5 as the Over 70s had to start self-isolating a week before the rest of the country.

I spent most of the day putting the Coronabobs Times together for the grandchildren. Issue No.5.

Mamma managed to get a Tesco Online order slot. The first of the lockdown. She was so excited and spent the morning composing her order. And the rest of the day relaxing (and cleaning).

In the evening we watched some good TV about a poor goat kid who lost its fight for life after 12 days and a difficult start.

Discovery of a New C&W Singer

The other was ‘Dolly Parton Celebrating 50 Years at the Grand Opre’. She introduced an amazing young female C&W singer, Candi Carpenter who sang a great haunting version of Little Sparrow. On checking her out I see she was to tour the UK with two other female C&W singers coming to the Glee Club , Nottingham  on 27th April. Sadly, of course, it is postponed.

During the day our two grandsons came to our front wall. Great to see them. One had apparently done Joe Wicks PE Workout dressed as a fairy. A bit of typecasting there, I think.

Hard times don’t create heroes. It is during the hard times when the ‘hero’ within us is revealed. – Bob Riley

Happiness is…a motivational song

A man is reading his newspaper and says to his wife: “Michelle, look. Here is an article about how women use about twice as many words per day as men do.”

The wife responds: “That’s because we have to tell you everything twice”

Love is…being so glad I found you
