George Aged 4 – Countdown to Christmas Blog – ZERO sleeps to Christmas.
HERE IT IS! MERRY, MERRY CHRISTMAS!
I wrote this and posted it yesterday. I’ve got too much exciting stuff to do today to fill my time. I have none spare for blogging
In the words of Slade…Merry Xmas Everybody
So here it is merry Christmas
Everybody’s having fun
Look to the future now
It’s only just begun
Are you waiting for the family to arrive?
Are you sure you got the room to spare inside?
Does your granny always tell ya that the old songs are the best?
Then she’s up and rock ‘n’ rollin’ with the rest
So here it is merry Christmas
Everybody’s having fun
Look to the future now
It’s only just begun
What will your daddy do
When he sees your Mama kissin’ Santa Claus?
Ah ah
Are you hanging up a stocking on your wall?
Are you hoping that the snow will start to fall?
Snow didn’t fall for Christmas did it? I knew the weathermen let it snow too soon and it peaked too early when they aloud, it to snow in early December.
One of Grandad’s favourite Christmas songs is “I Believe In Father Christmas”.
Some of the words are:
They said there’ll be snow at Christmas
They said there’ll be peace on Earth
But instead it just kept on raining
A veil of tears for the Virgin birth
I remember one Christmas morning
A winters light and a distant choir
And the peal of a bell and that Christmas tree smell
And eyes full of tinsel and fire.
I see why he likes it so much. Such beautiful words and so accurate. They go on to say:
I wish you a hopeful Christmas
I wish you a brave New Year
All anguish pain and sadness
Leave your heart and let your road be clear
They said there’ll be snow at Christmas
They said there’ll be peace on Earth
Hallelujah Noel, be it Heaven or Hell
The Christmas we get we deserve.
What brilliant a brilliant song that sums it all up!
Ok, Christmas 2020 is not the best Christmas but be positive and make the most of it and pin your hopes on a brilliant 2021!
Happy Christmas from George. See you in two weeks.
