THOUGHT FOR THE DAY
ISOLATION CHRONICLES II by SUE PRINCE
OUR BOOK OF THE WEEK FOR GROWN UPS
On 17th March 2021 I posted a Blog Post raving about Sue Prince’s beautiful book Isolation Chronicles. It was a tremendous record using her unique paintings and words of the pandemic lockdown. All of life was there. It was happy, sad, funny and moving. A lovely way to remember this special (good and bad) time we have just gone through.
I am more than happy to share with you that The Isolation Chronicles II is now available too. And the continuing story continues to be recorded with beautiful pictures and words just as wonderfully by Sue.
The Isolation Chronicles II (Book Two) – The second Isolation Chronicles book, covering corona virus lockdowns two and three, from November 2020 to February 2021 – 96 pictures of life on a Peak District Farm. The hardback book is 22 x 22 cm and the pictures within are 15 x 15 cm. It makes a handsome pair with the first Isolation Chronicles book.
Some of you may find them a little pricey at £34, but I assure you they are not. You get what you pay for. You are buying a beautiful fine quality book. Better if not slightly different but in the same class as pieces of art you would gladly pay 100’s of pounds for.
And don’t forget you’ve saved so much money during Lockdown owing to your forced stay home and spend nothing. What better, beautiful memorable way to invest those savings.
You can also buy her paintings as individual artworks or greeting cards.
A reminder of the first book:
A1: Book: The Isolation Chronicles (Book One)
A beautiful hard back book (22 x 22 cm) recording lockdown 2020 on a Peak District Farm. There are 84 small (15 x 15 cm), egg tempera paintings. I painted everyday from 23rd March to 15th June.
