School’s Out For Summer

School’s Out For Summer BLOG Thursday 25th July 2019

Today 25th July is the first Day of Nottinghamshire County Council School Summer Holidays. They end (last day) 29th August. That’s a Thursday, sounds stupid to me but I should know better, you are talking local authorities where common sense was extracted long ago if it was ever there.

That is 36 days holiday, all inclusive and including Saturdays and Sundays. Some schools are tagging on inset days to take the total to 40 days. For consideration of Summer Holidays I am going to assume they consist of 40 days. That takes you up to and including Monday, 2nd September 2019.

40 days where you need adventures and interesting things to do so that boredom does not set in.

What can you do be you a youngster or a teacher on vacation.

The key thing to do of course is to read a book. An average adult reads at the rate of 60 pages per hour. The average book is 300 pages so that will take 5 hours and equal 2 books in a day and 80 for the holiday. What an exciting adventure and amazing way to spend your time.

Such luxury. Explore this site you’ll find many book suggestions and we’ll be adding more lists of books soon, just when we think boredom could start to set in.

Now as it is the start of the School Holidays if you are a child or adult with August free you must be looking for a brilliant adventure. Here’s one: a tour of the most fantastic tourist attractions moving around the country visiting a different one every day.

It’d an adventure where all you need is loads-a time and loads-a money. And who’s got that? GRANDPARENTS! Of course. If they care for you, they’ll take you.So persuade them to take you on the following National Adventure Tour and yes it will cost mega-bucks, but who cares, its the once in a lifetime fun that counts.
