  1. CHRISTMAS WORDS

The Christmas wreath was originally hung as a symbol of Jesus. The holly represents his crown of thorns and the red berries the blood he shed.

Bicycle, the U.S. playing card company, manufactured cards to give all the POWS in Germany during World War II as Christmas presents. These cards, when soaked in water, revealed an escape route for POWs. The Nazis never knew.

There is a town in India called Santa Claus

  1. A LINE OR TWO FROM THE SONG “I’M DRIVING HOME FOR CHRISTMAS

 Driving Home for Christmas

By  Chris Rea

I’m driving home for Christmas

Oh, I can’t wait to see those faces

I’m driving home for Christmas, yea

Well I’m moving down that line

And it’s been so long

But I will be there

I sing this song

To pass the time away

Driving in my car

Driving home for Christmas

It’s gonna take some time

But I’ll get there

Top to toe in tailbacks

Oh, I got red lights on the run

But soon there’ll be a freeway yeah

Get my feet on holy ground

So I sing for you

Though you can’t hear me

When I get trough

And feel you near me

Driving in my car

I’m driving home for Christmas

Driving home for Christmas

With a thousand memories

I take look at the driver next to me

He’s just the same

Just the same

Top to toe in tailbacks

Oh, I got red lights all around

I’m driving home for Christmas, yea

Get my feet on holy ground

So I sing for you

Though you can’t hear me

When I get trough

Oh and feel you near me

Driving in my car

Driving home for Christmas

Driving home for Christmas

With a thousand memories

I take look at the driver next to me

He’s just the same

He driving home, driving home

Driving home for Christmas

Driving home for Christmas

  1. NICE LITTLE CHRISTMAS NUMBER

121         75% One survey conducted by Royal Mail found that 75% of Britons would rather receive a traditional Christmas card than an e-greeting or social media message, and most also said they’d be appreciative of the effort the sender went to and would feel that someone really cared.

122         32.3% of men want gift vouchers for Christmas.

123         68% – As for how many Christmas cards Britons plan to send out, 68% said they would be sending the same number of cards as they did last year and 10% even said they planned to send more cards than the previous year

124         People in the UK will use 189 million batteries over Christmas

125         It takes 1 tree to make 3,000 Christmas cards. Using the first estimate, 1 tree is only enough for 176 people to send cards to their loved ones. This then means that 1 billion Christmas Cards will end up in bins – the equivalent of 33 million trees! The total amount of Christmas cards sent, along with other card packaging used over Christmas, could cover big ben 260,000 times.
